During last night's bus trip from Lowell, skipper Jared Sandberg gave Burt Reynolds the good news: The outfielder was being promoted from the Renegades to the Bowling Green Hot Rods."It's an exciting time," Sandberg told me before tonight's game. "I know he was surprised when I told him last night when we were on the bus. That was fun to see that look on his face. He was like, 'Really?! OK!' He was shocked."
An infielder with the Renegades in '09, Reynolds is making the move to the outfield this season. The move to Bowling Green, Sandberg said, is the next step in that transition.
"This is good for him," the manager said.
